The Director of Research and Development at Alveola Ltd., Doctor of Chemical Sciences
For nearly 20 years, I have been involved in the development of cosmetic products and the preparation of product documentation. I am very passionate about my profession, and I believe that there is always something new to learn. In my work, I keep track of the cosmetic industry, market trends, professional events, legislation, raw materials and their manufacturers, production technologies, and modern formulas.
I graduated in 1998 from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and I obtained my PhD there in 2002. My doctoral research focused on the supercritical extraction of active ingredients from various medicinal and spice herbs, which involved producing extracts containing essential oils and non-volatile components. I worked in an internationally recognized research group, and I am the author and co-author of several scientific publications.
I have developed aromatherapy cosmetic products and researched new essential oil and vegetable oil raw materials. As a professional contributor, I participated in writing a book on aromatherapy. After the birth of my children, new professional challenges arose; I became acquainted with special active ingredient production techniques, prepared expert reports for the reclassification of herbal medicinal products into pharmaceuticals, and learned about the development and authorization processes for dietary supplements and human biocide products.
I met Alveola Ltd. at a professional conference and joined the team in 2012. In my work, I continue to monitor the cosmetic industry, market trends, professional events, legislation, raw materials and their manufacturers, production technologies, and modern formulas. Together with my colleagues, we strive to ensure that the newly developed products fully meet the professional and consumer expectations formulated against them. We make sure to choose well-documented active ingredients with the desired effect for our formulas, which allow for the design of products that can be most effectively integrated into professional work, with an appropriate price/value ratio, and which contain all components in quantities well tolerated by the skin, preserving and supporting the skin’s healthy functioning.
In my free time, I enjoy gardening, reading, and watching movies. For the sake of my physical, mental, and spiritual health, I have changed my lifestyle, paying more attention to my diet, fermenting and baking sourdough bread, practicing yoga, cycling indoors, and recently, I started playing walking football.
